VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Wildcats are looking to get back into the win column after two back-to-back home losses when they host local Philadelphia rival Saint Joseph's on Wednesday afternoon.
Villanova is coming off a 17-9 loss against Drexel on Saturday, which was the first time the Wildcats had been held to a single digit scoring game all season.

Junior attack
Brittany Bruno has been the Wildcat's most potent offensive weapon so far. She leads the team with 22 points off 14 goals and eight assists.
Bruno is third in the BIG EAST in goals per game, averaging 2.8 a contest, and No. 1 in shots per game, averaging 8.6.

Katie Comerford is close behind with 17 points from 13 goals and four assists.

Caroline Curnal leads the team with 18 through the first five games, while sophomore defender
Sydney Frank has already recorded a team-high 10 caused turnovers this season.

Alexa Moro leads the BIG EAST in saves, averaging 10 per contest.
As a team, Villanova ranks second in the conference in assists, behind only Denver (41) with 36 through the first five games.
THE LAST MATCHUP
Last season, the Hawks dominated the Wildcats at home, defeating them 16-8. In that game, then-senior Hawk attack Rebecca Lane recorded a game-high five goals. The win broke a four-game losing streak to Villanova.
For the Wildcats, then-sophomore Villanova attack
Brittany Bruno had a team-high two goals. Villanova was outscored 10-2 in the first half of the matchup.
The Wildcats hold a 4-1 advantage in the series over the last five seasons.
