VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Villanova women's lacrosse team kicks off the 2019 season with a road trip to Durham, N.C. on Saturday, Feb. 9 and faces off against the Duke Blue Devils.
The pair first competed in 1997 where Duke walked away with an 8-5 victory. In their most recent battle in 2016, Duke came up victorious again, posting a score of 7-4 over the 'Cats.

Devin Hassinger,
Carlye Maita and
Christine Graziano saw action against the Blue Devils during the 2016 matchup.
Last year Villanova finished 9-7, and 4–5 in conference play which landed them a fifth-place finish in the BIG EAST Conference. Duke concluded the 2018 season posting an 8-9 overall record with a 2-5 standing in the ACC.

The Wildcats are looking forward to their challenging non-conference schedule this season to help prepare them for conference and post season play. Villanova will host Cornell in its home opener next Saturday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. in the Villanova Stadium.
