  • Sunday, April 26 — at Seton Hall, 12:05 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Villanova enters the weekend with a 12-22 overall record and is still searching for its first BIG EAST win at 0-9. The Wildcats were swept by Creighton in a three-game series last weekend.

In the series opener, Villanova fell 9-4 after building an early 4-0 lead. The Wildcats scored all four runs in the fourth inning, with Austin Lemon and John Freitag each driving in two. Creighton responded with a six-run seventh inning to take control, then added a two-run homer in the ninth to seal the win.

Due to inclement weather, games two and three were played as a doubleheader on Saturday. Creighton jumped out to a 7-0 lead in game one and cruised to a 20-2 victory. In the series finale, Villanova struck first with a Michael Whooley home run to left-center, but the Blue Jays pulled away for a 14-3 win.

Senior Collin Quintano leads the Wildcats offensively with seven home runs, 31 RBIs, and a .318 batting average. He has also scored 19 runs and paces the team in conference play with seven RBIs and one home run.

On the mound, senior Graham Moore owns a team-best 4.29 ERA and has recorded 22 strikeouts across 21 innings. Transfer Jack Kelley leads the staff with 44 strikeouts.
