PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. — The Villanova baseball team will host Creighton this weekend in a three-game BIG EAST series beginning Friday, April 17.

Villanova enters conference play this weekend at 12-20 overall following a dominant 14-2, seven-inning win over Bucknell on Tuesday at home.
The Wildcats broke the game open in the third inning, scoring four runs, highlighted by a three-RBI bases-clearing triple to left field from
Carter Richey.
Leading 8-2 in the fifth, Villanova loaded the bases once again, setting up redshirt sophomore
Mark Gialluisi, who launched a grand slam to deep right-center field. The blast marked his third home run of the season and extended the lead to 12-2.
The 'Cats added two more insurance runs in the sixth on wild pitches before closing out the game in the seventh via the mercy rule.

Mark Gialluisi continues to swing a hot bat for Villanova, entering the weekend hitting .295 while riding a five-game hitting streak. Over his last 12 games, he has reached base safely in 11, including five multi-hit performances. Following his grand slam against Bucknell, he now has three home runs and 19 RBIs on the season.
Senior
Collin Quintano has also caught fire at the plate, recording seven hits and six RBIs over his last three games. He leads the Wildcats with seven home runs and 31 RBIs on the season.
SERIES HISTORY
Villanova holds a 4-29 all-time record against Creighton entering the weekend series, with three of those wins coming at Villanova Ballpark.
SCOUTING CREIGHTON
Creighton enters the series at 18-16 overall and 4-2 in BIG EAST play after sweeping Seton Hall last weekend. The Bluejays earned wins of 5-0, 9-1, and 9-2 in the series.
Offensively, Nate McHugh leads Creighton with seven home runs and is tied for the team lead with 29 RBIs while batting .341.
Ben North, Isaac Wachsmann, and Jack Pineau each earned BIG EAST recognition after helping Creighton to a 4-0 week (April 5–12). The trio powered a 16-4 midweek win over North Dakota State before contributing to the sweep of Seton Hall.
