Wildcats Travel To Ohio For More BIG EAST Play

CINCINNATI, Ohio -  Villanova women's lacrosse travels to Xavier for their fifth BIG EAST conference game.

The Wildcats go into this game 9-4, 3-1 BE while the Musketeers are 1-10, 0-2 BE. Most recently Xavier lost to BIG EAST rivals Georgetown 11-22, who Villanova lost to 9-13 a few weeks ago.


A key player for Xavier is Junior Lola Mancuso, who leads the conference in free position goals, ranking fourth in the nation. She is also second for goals per game, totaling 39 for the season.


Freshman Morgan Handzel is second in the conference for draw controls per game, behind Villanova Emma Verhoest

In 2024, the Musketeers fell 18-8 to the Wildcats and 21-9 in 2023.

The 'Cats are coming off of a big win over Marquette 15-8.

Opening draw is set for 12 pm on Saturday.
