PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Villanova women's swimming and diving team fell to Penn, 179-115, on the road Wednesday evening. The Wildcats collected three event wins and 21 top three finishes in the meet.
Winnie Jalet led the Wildcats with a first-place finish in the 200 Breast (2:20.50) and added a runner-up performance in the 100 Breast (1:04.32).
Anna Farley claimed victory in the 400 IM with a time of 4:29.29 and earned third in the 200 Free (1:52.42). Villanova's A relay team secured the top spot in the 200 Free Relay, clocking in at 1:35.69.
Peri Gaguzis and
Kayla Bolster each collected a pair of second-place finishes. Gaguzis took second in the 1000 Free (10:21.52) and 400 IM (4:30.57), while Bolster finished as runner-up in the 200 Free (1:52.29) and 100 Free (52.09).
Emily Herr placed third in both the 200 Breast (2:21.00) and 100 Breast (1:05.51).
Katie White earned second-place finishes in the 200 Fly (2:03.64) and 500 Free (5:04.18), and
Alana Leen took second in the 200 Back (2:03.34).
In diving,
Michelle Kasulka led the Wildcats with a third-place finish on the 3-meter board (252.08), while
Alexa Fegley placed fifth on the 1-meter (235.50).
The Villanova women return to action Nov. 20–22 at the Navy Invite.
