Villanova Career: BIG EAST Champion in the 200 Back in her first season … Two-time All-BIG EAST selection as a sophomore … Ranks among the program’s top performers, including fifth all-time in the 200 Back (1:57.26), 50 Back (25.80), and 100 Back (55.04).
2025-26: Seton Hall: Placed second in both the 200 free (1:54.81) and 200 medley relay (backstroke 27.59 split); UConn: Won the 200 back (2:01.44) and 200 IM (2:06.55), while finishing third in the 100 back (57.28) and 200 medley relay (backstroke 27.01 split); Georgetown: Took second in the 200 back (1:59.66) and third in both the 200 medley relay (backstroke 26.69 split) and 200 free relay (23.52 split); La Salle: Won the 200 back (2:00.11), placed second in the 200 medley relay (backstroke 26.60 split), and third in the 200 IM (2:06.81); Penn: Finished second in the 200 back (2:03.34) and 200 free relay (24.34 split); Navy Invitational: Placed second in the 200 back (1:58.63) and recorded a personal best in the 200 free (1:52.31); Florida State: Took second in the 200 back (2:00.96) and recorded a personal best in the 100 IM (58.67); UNF: Won both the 100 back (57.31) and 200 back (2:02.68), and placed second in the 200 medley relay (backstroke 27.28 split); Richmond: Won both the 100 back (57.11) and 200 back (2:01.88), while finishing second in the 400 medley relay (backstroke 57.14 split); James Madison: Won the 100 back (56.96), 200 back (2:01.88), and 200 IM (2:06.52); Pittsburgh: Finished third in the 100 back (56.13); WVU/Duquesne: Placed second in the 200 medley relay (backstroke 26.78 split); BIG EAST Championships: Earned silver in the 400 medley relay (backstroke 55.03 split, PB), bronze in the 100 back (55.04), and recorded a personal best in the 200 IM (2:02.00); Named BIG EAST Female Athlete of the Week on January 21 after recording five individual victories against Richmond and James Madison.
2024-25: Won gold at her first BIG EAST Championships in the 200 Back … Season-bests in the 100 Back (55.17), 200 Back (1:57.26) and 200 IM (2:02.81) all at the conference meet; BIG EAST Championships (2/24-27): Extended Villanova’s winning streak in the 200 Back to 10 straight with a 1:57.26; WVU/Duquesne (1/25): Swam opening backstroke (26.28) for the A team’s 200 Medley Relay win (1:42.95); Richmond (1/18): Swept the backstroke with 100 (56.78) and 200 (2:00.04) wins; JMU (1/17): Touched first in the 100 Back (57.22) and 200 Back (2:01.90); Florida State (1/8): Led Villanova in both the 100 Back (58.01) and 200 Back (2:01.52), finishing second in each; WVU Invitational (11/22): Was second in the 200 Back A Final (1:59.41); UConn (10/17): Won the 200 Back (2:02.21) in her debut, adding a 200 Medley Relay win (1:45.42) with the A team (backstroke leg: 27.24) and a third-place 100 Back (57.37).
High School: Leen comes to the Main Line as a Winter and Summer Junior National Qualifier with Charles River Aquatics. She swam varsity all four years at Concord Carlisle and was named the Peter Foley Massachusetts Student-Athlete of the Year. She finished her career holding multiple school records, namely in the 100 Back, 200 Free, 200 IM, 500 Free and 100 Fly while being a part of record relays in the 200 Free, 400 Free and 200 Medley. She made the High Honor Roll in 2023-24 and was a recipient of the Principal's Award.
Personal: Born 10/31/2005 in Arlington, Mass. … is the daughter of Michael Leen and Sara Kiesselbach, who was on the water polo team at Whittier College. She also has a sister, Celeste Leen. She chose Villanova because of the excellent academic and athletic opportunities.
