VILLANOVA, Pa. – Villanova (2-5) takes on Vermont at Villanova Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats will look to snap a four-game losing streak.

Coming off a hard-fought loss to Columbia on Wednesday, the Wildcats will look to bounce back with a home victory. Sydney Pappas is currently eighth in the nation with 27 goals this season and is coming off a four-goal performance in the Big Apple. Cara Moreau was equally impressive as she recorded her first career hat trick.

Vermont brings a 5-2 record to the Main Line after falling on the road to Fairfield this week. Their most notable win came last weekend against Marist. The Catamounts boast a star of their own in Ava Vasile, who ranks three spots ahead of Pappas with 29 goals on the season. McKenzie Ballard and Jane Trauger round out the attack with 34 combined points on the season.

Emma Verhoest has become a star for the Wildcats so far this season. The freshman ranks 20th in the nation with 6.71 draw controls per game. She will be tasked with keeping this high-powered Catamount attack away from the ball.
