Wildcats Fall to Monmouth 20-5

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - Monmouth University's women's lacrosse squad equaled the school-best win streak of eight games with a 20-5 win over Villanova University Tuesday afternoon at Kessler Field.

Monmouth (9-3) jumped out to a 15-3 halftime lead and coasted to the 15-goal victory.

The Hawks' arsenal was led by four-time NEC Rookie of the Week Megan Nutter (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) who logged three goals and three assists. Carolyn Raveia (Fairfax, Va./W.T. Woodson) added four goals and Katie Degen (Glen Head, N.Y./North Shore) chipped in with three goals and two assists. Jeanette Stott (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) tallied two goals and three assists and Kate Hanna (Rochester, N.Y./West Irondequoit) scored two goals and two assists. Degen and Alexis Hiering (Toms River, N.J./Monsignor Donovan) each had three caused turnovers.

Kathleen Kelly and Becky Gardner each logged two goals for the Wildcats.

Jess Chapman (Rutland, Vt./Rutland) logged four saves in 56:25 of action to move her record on the season to 9-3.
