Colgate Downs Women's Lacrosse

Senior Kate Manzella and junior Liz Brown each netted four goals to lead Colgate to a 16-1 victory over the Villanova Wildcats on Saturday afternoon at Tyler's Field in Hamilton, N.Y.

Colgate gained control of the contest in the first half. Brown scored off a free position shot at the 25:16 mark. Manzella followed with a goal of her own off a free position shot just four minutes later. Heather Smith scored her first goal of the day unassisted less than a minute later. The Red Raiders then added nine more goals before halftime to make the total 12-0 at intermission.

Julie Feddeman's second half goal provided the lone score for the Wildcats. She scored unassisted at the nine-minute mark.

Kelly O'Leary made 12 saves in net for the 'Cats.

Villanova is now 3-11 on the season, 1-3 in the Patriot League. Villanova next sees action on Wednesday evening at Johns Hopkins.
