Richmond Hands Villanova Women's Soccer Its First Loss

The University of Richmond handed the Villanova Wildcats their first defeat of the 1999 season on Friday in the opening game of the James Madison/Sheraton Four Points Hotel Invitation Tournament in Harrisonburg, Va.

The evening's lone goal was scored by the Spiders' Jaclyn Raveia at the 43:51 mark of the first half. The goal was unassisted.

Janel Schillig made 11 saves in the Wildcat net as Richmond put 13 shots on goal. The Wildcats did not have a shot on Richmond goalie Kristen Samuhel.

Next up for Villanova (5-1) is a Sunday matchup in the tournament's second round with host James Madison.
