Sean Doherty

Sean Doherty serves as a sports performance coach at Villanova, a position he's held since 2018. In this role, Doherty directs strength and conditioning efforts for the men's lacrosse, volleyball and men's & women's tennis teams.

Doherty came to Villanova after a stint as an assistant strength coach at Loyola University Maryland, where he primarily worked with the cross country, tennis and swimming & diving teams.

Sean began his career as an intern at his alma mater, the University of Montana, before becoming a graduate assistant with the Grizzlies. Doherty also worked as an S&C intern at Mount St. Mary's and USA Rugby.

Doherty earned a Bachelor of Science from Montana in 2016. A former football player at Montana, Doherty received a Master's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science in 2018 while working with the football and track & field teams at his alma mater.
