Mo Fahmy

Mo Fahmy is a volunteer assistant coach for Villanova volleyball, joining the staff for the 2023 season. 

Fahmy comes to Villanova after spending four years as a coach of Mill City Volleyball Club in Lowell, Massachusetts, where he coached a team to second place at AAU club nationals in 2023.

Prior to that, he spent one season as an assistant coach at Merrimack College, helping the program make a transition into Division I. Fahmy also spent time as an assistant coach for a professional men's volleyball team in Egypt as well as the head coach of the U-18 women's team at El Zohor Sporting Club. 

Fahmy spent three seasons playing for the American University in Cairo, finishing in third place in the conference each year and earning a National Championship Appearance. Fahmy was also a four-year member of the Shooting Club volleyball team, as well as a two-time U-19 Egyptian National Team member. 

In his playing days, Fahmy was twice named the Best Setter in Giza State, as well as the 2009 Rising Talent of the Year, a 2011 collegiate national championship all-tournament selection and a 2012 all-star team selection in the Professional Super League.

Fahmy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at The Ohio State University in 2015.
