Biography
Career: Over her Villanova career, Trojan started 57 of her 58 games played. She hit the century mark in goals during the 2020 season, making her total 100 for her career, 9th best in program history. She also recorded 23 assists for 123 points. Her other statistics include 212 shots, 151 shots on goal, 41 ground balls, 16 caused turnovers and 32 draw controls. Trojan was a crucial piece in the Villanova attack each season she played. The Airmont native missed th 2021 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.Â
2021: Did not participate in the 2021 season.Â
2020: The attacker started all eight games for the Wildcats. She had a season-high four goals in Villanova's 13-11 win over Temple (3/11). On the season, she scored 10 goals, third-most on the team, and dished out four assists. Her final goal of the season was her 100th career goal at Villanova.
2019: Trojan was a primary source to Villanova’s offense during her junior year. The attack appeared in all 18 contests making 17 starts where she finished the season leading the team with 34 goals. 10 of her goals were free-position goals which left her tied at fourth in the BIG EAST Conference. She now sits 3rd in all-time career FPG with 17 and 3rd for FPG in a single season. She also added 11 assists for 45 points, seven caused turnovers and 14 ground balls. Trojan recorded three games in which she scored four goals apiece (Army & Richmond) and three other contests where she netted in three per game (ODU, Georgetown & Denver). She was also named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll two times and to the All-BIG EAST First Team.
2018: Started in all 16 contests for the Wildcats. She was ranked second in the team with 34 goals and she also recorded 7 assists for 41 points. In the RU (3/13) game, she scored five goals and had two assists. She also scored four goals in the Saint Joseph's (3/1) and Drexel (3/10) games.Trojan collected 19 ground balls, caused six turnovers and recorded one draw control.Â
2017: Saw action in all 16 games, scored 22 goals and dished out one assist. She led the team in draw controls with 30 and also grabbed eight ground balls and caused three turnovers.Â
SUFFERN: Named 2016 U.S. Lacrosse All-American... Garnered all-league, all-county, and all section honors during her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons… Represented the Hudson Valley all-region team at the U.S. Lacrosse National Tournament… Earned all-state honors and was named the Journal News Rockland County Player of the Year for field hockey… Also played basketball for two seasons for the Mountain Lions.
PERSONAL: Born March 25, 1998 in Suffern, New York… Daughter of Vincent and Maureen Trojan… Has three sisters – Caroline (18), Anna (15), and Grace (15)… Undecided on a major… Chose Villanova because of the great academics and the school spirit at athletic events.
