Jackie Cifarelli

Jackie Cifarelli enters her second season as an Assistant Coach of the Villanova Women's Lacrosse team in 2019. A 2015 graduate from the Ohio State University, Cifarelli was a standout player in her time playing collegiate lacrosse.

The Rockville Centre, N.Y. native set the school record for assists and also finished second all-time in points. Her 179 assists places her at third best in NCAA Division-I history.

Other awards that Cifarelli collected during her time in Columbus, Ohio include a three-time Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association Regional All-American selection and a two-time American Lacrosse Conference All-Conference Team selection. She was also a two-time nominee for the Tewaaraton Award, which is given to the most outstanding men's and women's NCAA Lacrosse players each year.

When Ohio State moved to the Big Ten, Cifarelli was honored to the inaugural 2015 All-Big Ten Conference team and the 2015 All-Big Ten Tournament team. Her Ohio State Buckeyes teams reached the NCAA Tournament in both her junior and senior seasons.

Her junior season she started in all 20 games for the Buckeyes. She tallied a team high in both assists with 46 and points with 63. She also added 17 goals. In her senior campaign she led Ohio State in assists and points again with 54 and 72, respectively and added 18 goals to her totals.

Following graduation, she began her coaching career joining Drexel University's staff in 2015. In her first season as an assistant coach, Cifarelli helped the Dragons to a 10-7 record and a trip to the CAA Tournament. She specialized in offensive gameplanning, helping the Dragons increase their goals per game, assists per game and draw controls per game in her two years as an assistant. She also played a key role in helping two Drexel players reach First Team All-CAA seletions.

She graduated the Ohio State University with a degree in sociology. In 2014, she earned the Student Athlete Academic Achievement Award from the University.
