Biography

2023: Started and played in all 17 games as a captain and draw specialist..Finished the season with 41 goals and eight assists for a total of 49 points..Finished second on the team in goals..finished with 65 shots on goal for a .637 SOG%.. Earned five game winning goals.. Broke the All-time career program record for draw controls with 382 , also broke the record for most draws in a season with 155 and was consistently ranked nationally.. finished the season fifth in the nation in draws.. Named third team selection to ILWomen Midseason All-America Team..Had 11 games with two goals or more.. Scored in 14 out of the 17 games.. Scored five goals against St. Joes, Quinnipiac, and Bucknell..Named to USA Lacrosse Magazine's All- America Honorable Mention. BIG EAST: Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll three times..Named BIG EAST Attacker of the Week once.. Named to All-BIG EAST First Team..Named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team. 

2022: 
Started 15 games at attack in her third season at Villanova. Led the team in draw controls (121), points (44), goals (39), shots (88) and shots on goal (58). Named All-BIG EAST First Team and IWLCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team. Her 8.07 draws per game placed her eighth in the country in that category, having been inside the top-10 all season. Throughout the season, she garnered five weekly awards from the conference, four honor roll selections and one midfielder of the week. Had 12 games with multiple goals and eight with three or more. Had 13 draw controls in the season opener against William & Mary (2/12). Scored a hat-trick with three ground balls and six draws against George Washington (2/23). Set a new career high with five goals against St. Joe’s (3/2). Tallied 11 draw controls and had four points (3g, 1a) against a national ranked Maryland (3/13) team. Against her former school, Lafayette (3/16) set a new career high for points with six, after tying her career high in goals with five. Had four scores in a win over UC Davis (3/26). Against Marquette (4/9) and UConn (4/16) recorded back-to-back games with 13 draw controls. Finished the season with hat tricks against Denver (4/23) and Butler (4/30).

2021: As a junior, Curnal played in and started 15 games for Villanova. Over the course of the season, she had 10 goals and four assists, with three goals coming in the BIG EAST Semifinals against Denver (5/6). Finished the season leading the Wildcats with 82 draw controls, 57 coming in conference matches. Her season high of 10 draw controls happened in two games, against Georgetown (3/21) and one week later against Marquette (3/26). 

2020: In her first season as a Wildcat, Curnal appeared in seven games, led the team with 24 draw controls and scored four goals. She had a season-high 7 draw controls in Villanova's 12-9 win on the road at No. 16 Navy (2/22). She scored her first goal of the season at Cornell (2/15). She also had two goals at home against Princeton (2/26) and one goal vs. Drexel (2/29).

Lafeyette College:
At Lafayette competed in all 17 contests, making 15 starts as a freshman. Led the team in draw controls with 76, averaging 4.5 per game. Had a season high against Loyola (4/13) grabbing 11 draw controls. Was 7th on the team in points with 11 goals and 4 assists. Recorded a hat trick and one assist in the competition against Binghamton (3/13). Had three multi-point games, St. Bonaventure (2/10), Binghamton (3/13), and Colgate (4/26). Also contributed 10 ground balls and 6 caused turnovers.

Ridgefield High School: Played four years of volleyball, basketball and lacrosse, named a three-sport captain senior year. Lead her team to an FCIAC championship runner up and State championship runner up finish her junior and senior season in lacrosse. Was a two time All FCIAC first team selection and an All State first team selection her junior year. Senior year was named a US Lacrosse All American in lacrosse. Selected to represent CT at the US Lacrosse National Tournament in 2017…. played in the CT Senior All Star game. Won 279 draw controls in her high school career and added 121 goals. Was named the 2017 Connecticut Female athlete of the year. An All FCIAC first team and All state first team selection in volleyball her senior season, named the 2017 Offensive player of the year and 2018 MVP for Ridgefield. Was a two-time All FCIAC first team selection, an All State First team honoree and two-time MVP for Ridgefield in basketball her junior and senior year. Named to the honor roll for three years.

Personal: In January 27, 2000...Daughter of Virginia and Jim Curnal... Has an older brother named Ryan who graduated from Villanova in 2014.
