Biography

2022: Made 11 starts in 14 appearances as a senior midfielder. Was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team. Scored 16 goals and had eight assists on 45 shots. Began the season with three straight games scoring two goals, against William & Mary (2/12), Temple (2/16) and Cornell (2/19). Had four points, two goals and two assists, against St. Joe’s (3/2). Recorded a hat-trick on three shots in a win over Lafayette (3/16).

2021: Tsahalis finished her junior season playing in 17 games, making nine starts. Named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team. She finished fifth on the team with 18 goals, and fourth with nine assists. On the season, she also picked up 21 ground balls and had a .671 shot on goal percentage.

2020: In her sophomore season, Tsahalis appeared in five games and made four starts. On the season, she netted three goals, picked up six ground balls and caused four turnovers. 

2019: The freshman midfielder appeared in nine games for the 2019 season. She scored her first collegiate goal in the team’s 12-7 win over Siena (2/23) and scored a career high two goals in the 17-5 win over Holy Cross (3/6). She finished her freshman campaign with three goals, six ground balls and four caused turnovers.

Saddle River Day School: At Saddle River Day School, Tsahalis was a four-year Dean’s List student as well as a three sport varsity athlete in lacrosse, soccer and basketball.  During her high school lacrosse career, Tsahalis was captain during her junior and senior years and earned many accolades. In 2018, she was part of the NorthJersey.com Top 50 Seniors to Watch and a Top Girls Lacrosse player finalist. In 2017 and 2018, she received All-Bergen County First team, NJ Stars and Stripes Conference First and Second Team All-Star, two All-Group 1 Second Team awards, and All-North Jersey First Team.  Along with this success, she helped lead her team to two NJSIAA State Sectional Championships. As a freshman, Tsahalis received Independence Conference Second Team honors, was selected to the under Armour Uncommitted Showcase team and was a WDNT North NJ Team Selection helping her team win the Oneida Division Championship game. Despite missing seven weeks of her sophomore year due to an injury, she recorded 230 career goals and 59 assists. As a four-year varsity soccer player, Tsahalis was captain during her senior year and earned Second Team for the All-NJIC Patriot Division.


Personal: Tsahalis was born on June 7, 2000. She is the daughter of Nick and Lynn Tsahalis and has a younger sister, Leanna. In her free time, Tsahalis enjoys going to the beach, listening to country music, watching NHL and spending time with friends. She chose to attend Villanova because when she first visited it felt like home and instantly she knew it was special. She said her decision also had to do with Nova's top tier academics and highly rated business school, in addition to its amazing sports programs and school spirit.
