2026: Put forth a career year to earn First Team All-BIG EAST honors … Started in all 14 games while serving as a team captain in his senior year … Caused a career-high 15 turnovers in addition to 29 ground balls on the year … Posted two CTs in back-to-back weeks at Lehigh and St. John's … Scored his first career goal against Providence … Was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on April 20 after four ground balls and three caused turnovers at Marquette .. Moved his way into the Villanova top 20 for caused turnovers.
2025: Served as a team captain in his junior season… Played and started in two games before missing the rest of the season due to injury… Caused two turnovers and picked up six ground balls in the two contests… Forced a turnover and scooped up four ground balls in Villanova’s upset win over No. 9 Yale… Earned a BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll nod for his performance in the game against the Bulldogs.

2024: Started all 12 games he appeared in his sophomore season… Had 33 ground balls and nine caused turnovers for the year… Notably had a ground ball in every game he played in… Attempted two shots with one coming on goal in the win over Monmouth… Caused three turnovers with four ground balls in the win over Colgate on February 24.

2023: Started all 15 games during his freshman season earning BIG EAST Freshman of the Week Honors for the weeks of February 13 and April 3… Was fifth on the team with 30 ground balls and fourth on the team in forced turnovers with 14… Recorded assists against Yale, Delaware, and St. Johns.

Darien High School: Earned four varsity letters in lacrosse and three in football as a defensive end … As a lacrosse player was a two-time all-state honoree, earning first team accolades as a senior and second team honors as a junior … First team all-league choice his junior and senior seasons … As a senior in football was a first team all-conference selection and was ranked among the top 25 players in the state … Earned second team all-state accolades in football as a sophomore … Had the second-most sacks in the state his sophomore and senior seasons.

Personal: Born 4/14/04 … Youngest of four children of Joe and Christine Evanchick … Has three older siblings: Mark, Drew, and Elizabeth … Brother, Mark, played college lacrosse at Penn and went on to play professionally for the MLL Philadelphia Barrage in 2020 … Enjoys fishing, hiking and golfing in his spare time … Chose to attend Villanova for its strong academics, loyal alumni network and competitive athletics … Felt that the school was large enough to offer numerous activities outside the classroom but small enough to know his professors and classmates … Noted the community’s reputation for providing help and guidance to its students was an important factor for him.
