Rye High School: Earned four varsity letters between lacrosse and football … Earned a pair of all-section honors in addition to four all-league accolades … Top 10 in his high school's history for scoring … Spent a year at Iona Prep before transferring to Rye … Also played a season of football as a wide receiver.
Personal: Born 10/4/06 … One of three children of Sara and Jon Hess … Has two siblings, Remy and Casey … Father played lacrosse at Princeton from 1995-1998 before multiple years of professional lacrosse, playing with the NLL's New York Saints and the MLL's New Jersey Pride … Mother Sara (nee Whalen) played soccer at UConn before competing on the US Women's National Team and in the WUSA … Chose Villanova because "the coaches were incredibly nice and welcoming, and seeing the bonds they shared with their players made me feel like it was something I wanted to be a part of."
