On Kemler: Promising young prospect on defense who earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors as a sophomore after a breakout campaign… Named twice to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll ... Was a three-sport standout in lacrosse, hockey, and football in high school… Two-time New Jersey state champion and first team all-state in 2023.
2025: Named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team after a stellar sophomore season… Started all 15 games at close defense… Earned three BIG EAST Weekly Awards in three consecutive weeks, including two Defensive Player of the Week nods… Led the team with 52 ground balls and finished second on the ‘Cats in caused turnovers with 21… Ranked second and third, respectively, during conference action with 26 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers… Scooped up a ground ball in all 15 contests… Had three consecutive games tallying at least three caused turnovers and five ground balls from March 17 through April 5… Forced three turnovers and grabbed 10 ground balls against Denver, becoming the first non-faceoff involved player since 2016 to pick up double-digit loose balls… Followed that game up with four caused turnovers and seven ground balls at Providence and two caused turnovers and five ground balls against St. John’s… Caused three turnovers in the BIG EAST Tournament.
2024: Appeared in three games his freshman season starting in one. His lone start against Marquette was a spark as he caused two turnovers and scooped up five ground balls… Had three CT’s for the season with seven ground balls.
Club Lacrosse: Played for Leading Edge Lacrosse
Rumson-Fair Haven: Nine total varsity letters in lacrosse, hockey, and football… Two-time N.J. group two state champion, three-time shore conference champion… First team All-State in 2023, two-time first team All Group Two… National Honors Society.
Personal: Born August 4, 2004 in Fair Haven, N.J. One of three children of parents Courtney and David Kemler… Chose Villanova because he has been a Wildcats fan his whole life thanks to numerous family members graduating from here. “Playing in Villanova Stadium is a dream come true. Through academics, lacrosse and the community Villanova will provide amazing opportunities that I will carry far beyond the four years on campus.”
