VILLANOVA, Pa. — Maranda Runco was named to the First Team All-BIG EAST team for the second consecutive season Wednesday. 

Runco led Villanova in home runs (9), RBIs (37), slugging percentage (.547), on-base percentage (.463) and OPS (1.010). 

The slugging lefty was top 10 in on-base percentage, RBIs, home runs and walks. 

Runco's 46 walks on the season broke the single-season program walk record, previously held by Paige Rauch. She also led BIG EAST in free passes. 

Runco heads into the 2027 campaign with 31 career home runs, 18 off Rauch's career home run record of 49. Runco broke the single-season program home run record in 2025 with 21 long balls.
