VILLANOVA, Pa. -- Villanova Water Polo achieved a new milestone on Wednesday with a program-record 19 Wildcats earning All-Academic honors from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).

Head coach Michael Gordon's team also tied for the fourth-highest team GPA among those on the list with a 3.72. The 19 'Cats on the list reset the previous program-best that was set by the 2022 squad that had 16 student-athletes on the ledger.

Student-athletes earned the distinction with a GPA of 3.2 or higher. Honorees were split into three levels: Outstanding (4.0-3.71), Superior (3.70-3.41) and Excellent (3.40-3.2). Villanova had 13 earn Outstanding honorees and six with Superior laurels.
