BOSTON, Mass.—Racing in the venue that will host the NCAA Championships later this season, Villanova sprinters
Jakob Kunzer (George Town, Grand Cayman) and
Jimmy Milgie (Wildwood, Mo.) recorded season best times in the 400 meters at the Eagle Elite Invitational on Friday afternoon. They were two of five athletes who were in action for the Wildcats on the first day of the Boston meet. Villanova had other team members in competition in Chicago and New York on a busy day of competition.
Kunzer and Milgie ran in the same heat of the 400 meters and crossed the finish line less than four-tenths of a second apart with times of 48.52 and 48.90, respectively. The pair now rank sixth and 10
th on this year's BIG EAST performance list in the 400 meters and they are among five Villanova athletes who are among the top 16 on the current BIG EAST descending order list.
Earlier on Friday afternoon, sophomore
Amiri Prescod (Chaguanas, Puerto Rico) and freshman
Parker Turner (Los Angeles, Calif.) registered times of 6.87 and 7.02 in the preliminary heats of the 60 meter dash. Turner lowered his PR from earlier in the season; he had run 7.05 at Penn State two weeks earlier. Junior thrower
Tristan Bolinsky (Gordon, Pa.) was also in action for the Wildcats and recorded a mark of 15.01 meters in the weight throw.
Villanova continues competition in both Boston and Chicago on Saturday.
