NEW YORK—Sophomore middle distance runner Chris Weeks (Springfield, Va.) lowered his personal best in the 800 meters by just over seven-tenths of a second and Villanova wrapped up its stay at the Rutgers Open with seven events on the docket at The Armory on Saturday afternoon. The event schedule for the Wildcats on the final day of the meet included five individual running events, one field event and the 4x400 meter relay.
 
First up for Villanova on Saturday morning was the semifinal heats of the 60 meters. After advancing out of the qualifying round on Friday, senior Dylan Henry (Chagrin Falls, Ohio) recorded a time of 7.25 on Saturday and finished 13^th overall in the semifinal round. Later in the day, senior Richie Bush (Lawnside, N.J.) and sophomore Nicholas Mollica (Jackson, N.J.) each ran in the 200 meters. Bush came in 10^th out of 42 competitors with a time of 22.35, while Mollica was not far behind in 14^th place with a personal best mark of 22.70.
 
Weeks ran in the 800 meters and posted a time of 1:55.66 to lower his previous top mark of 1:56.37 from high school. Rounding out the middle distance events was the 600 meters in which graduate student Jacob Bonanotte (Barrington, Ill.) and senior Trevor Potts (Sparta, N.J.) recorded times of 1:22.51 and 1:22.74, respectively.
 
Senior distance runner Jack Fredian (Arlington Heights, Ill.) was also in action on Saturday and came in ninth out of 32 entries in the 3000 meters with a time of 8:33.29.
 
The final event of the day was the 4x400 meter relay in which Mollica, sophomore Jakob Kunzer (George Town, Grand Cayman), Bush and junior Mac Costonis (Lower Gwynedd, Pa.) combined to finish second out of eight teams with a season-best relay time of 3:18.23.
 
Junior thrower Eduardo Perez (Appling, Ga.) competed in the college section of the shot put on Saturday afternoon and measured a mark of 13.22 meters to finish 10^th in his section.
