VILLANOVA, Pa.-After winning the first set, the Wildcats' attack stalled in a four-set loss to UConn. Villanova drops to 10-8 (2-4 BIG EAST) and UConn improves to 12-5 (4-1 BIG EAST).
Villanova and UConn went back-and-forth in the first set. Leading 20-18, the Wildcats went on a 5-0 run fueled by four attack errors and one bad set from the Huskies. Homer led with four kills in the first set.
UConn began to pick up steam in the second set and made a 5-0 run of their own to lead 9-4 early. With eight tie scores and four lead changes, the momentum continued to shift. The Huskies pulled away with a 5-2 run to take the second set, 25-19.
Both teams traded blows in a third set that involved eight tie scores and five lead changes. With the Wildcats leading 23-20, UConn rallied with three consecutive points to tie it up. Despite a Homer kill, the Huskies scored three-straight points to take the 26-24 set win.
Villanova would not go down without a fight, though. In the fourth set, the Wildcats went on a 4-0 run to lead 10-7 highlighted by a pair of kills from Crist. Trailing 19-14, the Huskies battled back with a 5-0 run to tie it up. Each team continued to counter punches with the Wildcats leading 22-21. The Huskies cemented the match win with four consecutive point to win the fourth set, 25-22.

Crist tallied 10 kills, one shy of her career high 11.
