VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Villanova women's volleyball team travels to New Orleans for their final weekend of non-conference play. The Wildcats will play against the Clemson Tigers, Tulane Green Wave and Arkansas Little Rock Trojans for the AllState Sugar Bowl Collegiate Volleyball Classic.

Head coach Josh Steinbach on the weekend, "Excited to play near Allie's (Olsonoski) home and have really good teams on the schedule as well. Clemson is going to be a challenge for us because of their athleticism. All three opponents are much improved from last year. We are looking forward to the challenges and hopefully it helps us to be sharp for conference play."

Villanova will open the tournament on Friday against Clemson at 11:00 a.m. and the tournament host     Tulane at 8:00 p.m. The Wildcats conclude the tournament against Little Rock on Saturday at noon.

The Wildcats go to New Orleans with a record of 7-2. Clemson and Little Rock enter the weekend with a record of 7-3. Tournament host Tulane has a record of 9-3.

Earlier this week the BIG EAST named to Wildcats to their weekly awards. Freshman outside hitter Clare Delaplane was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. Delaplane had 30 kills last weekend including 10 in the 3-2 win against No. 21 Utah.

Junior middle blocker Allie Olsonoski was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second week in a row. Olsonoski had 25 kills last weekend and tied her season-high of seven blocks in the victory at Temple.

The Wildcats open BIG EAST play next Wednesday night at Jake Nevin Field House against Seton Hall at 7:00p.m.
