VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Villanova women's volleyball will travel to Omaha, Nebraska to take on the No. 9 Creighton Bluejays on Friday night at 5:30 p.m. ET in the BIG EAST Tournament presented by Jeep. The matches will be played at D.J. Sokol Arena.

Head coach Josh Steinbach on the tournament, "it is a great experience for our athletes to experience post season and play in a tournament environment. Obviously we are excited to play Creighton, I'm sure it will be a great crowd and it's a good atmosphere to play volleyball. Our team is ready to play and excited to play in it."

Villanova enters the weekend with a record of 17-13 and 10-8 in the BIG EAST. The Wildcats swept Butler and Xavier on the final weekend to qualify for the BIG EAST Tournament.

Creighton is 26-4 this season and outright champions of the BIG EAST Conference for a fifth straight season after an 18-0 conference record. All four losses came during non-conference slate that included five matches against national seeds from a year ago.

 The Wildcats fell to the Bluejays twice this season. The first game the Wildcats lost 1-3 at Jake Nevin Field House and the second match fell 0-3 at Creighton.

Friday's semifinal matches will air on BIG EAST Digital Network, while Saturday's final will be televised on FS2. Bob Brainerd and Jill Dorsey Hall will announce the action, with Meghan Caffrey serving as sideline reporter for all the matches.

Earlier this week the Villanova picked up two second team players in three-time Freshman of the Week Clare Delaplane and Regan Lough who leads the league in digs per set with 5.35.
