VILLANOVA, Pa. – The women's volleyball team will return home to Jake Nevin Field host to take on the No. 19 Marquette Golden Eagles on Friday night and the DePaul Blue Demons on Saturday. Both matches will begin at 8:00 p.m. Live stats and live streaming will be available for both matches.

Head coach Josh Steinbach on the weekend, "big weekend for us. Top-20 team coming to town obviously with Marquette who is very good, and we are excited for that match. Every win for us is big so making sure we get at least one this weekend is a huge deal. We are just excited to be playing at home and hopefully we will be better down the home stretch."

Villanova enters the weekend with a record of 13-11 and 6-6 in the BIG EAST Conference. Last weekend they won their only match of the weekend on the road at Georgetown 3-0.

The Golden Eagles are 20-5 and 10-2. Last weekend they fell to No. 10 Creighton 3-1 and they defeated Providence 3-0.

The Blue Demons are 5-18 and 3-9 in conference play. Last weekend DePaul lost both of their matches. First to Providence 3-0 and then to Creighton 3-0 on Saturday.

This will be the second time the Wildcats will play against both schools. Villanova fell on the road at Marquette 3-0 back on September 29th. Villanova defeated DePaul 3-0 on September 28th which was the Wildcats' first conference road match.

Earlier this week freshman outside hitter Clare Delaplane was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for her play last weekend against Georgetown. Delaplane had nine kills and seven digs against the Hoyas.
