PRINCETON, N.J. - Junior distance runner Alexandra Russo (Bellport, N.Y.) ran the 5000 meters on Friday night at the Sam Howell Invitational as Villanova kicked off a busy weekend of competition. Russo recorded a time of 18:17.58 in her race and placed 37th out of 48 runners on a frigid night at Weaver Stadium.

Villanova has athletes in competition at both the Sam Howell meet at Princeton and the Hurricane Alumni Invitational in Miami this weekend.
