VILLANOVA, PA. - The Villanova women's volleyball team ran its win streak to six matches with a 3-0 sweep of Rutgers in BIG EAST action on Friday night at Jake Nevin Field House. The Wildcats posted scores of 30-21, 30-20 and 30-22.

Celine Nguyen paced the Villanova (11-13, 5-4) offense with 11 kills and also added a team-high 14 digs. Katie Lanting and Kerri Sullivan each finished with 10 kills for the Wildcats, while Dana Kabashima turned in a solid performance with eight kills and 14 digs.

Jennifer Badran-Grycan and Jennifer Edwards managed 17 and 15 assists, respectively, in helping the Wildcats achieve a .344 hitting percentage.

Ashleigh Young posted 14 kills, one solo block and three block assists to lead the Scarlet Knights (9-17, 3-7). Shayla Bush added eight kills and nine digs for Rutgers, who hit .150 for the match.

Villanova returns to the court on Sunday at 2 p.m. when Seton Hall visits Jake Nevin Field House for a BIG EAST contest.
