Villanova, Pa.-On Saturday, September 16th, the Villanova Wildcats volleyball team competed in the second day of the 2000 Ohio Invitational. In their first match of the day, Villanova squared off with Southern Methodist and was defeated by the score of 3-0, (15-10, 15-6, 15-2). In their second match, the battled the University of Maryland Baltimore County and were victorious by the score of 3-0, (16-14, 13-15, 15-9, 15-5). The match finals bring the Wildcats overall record to 3-8.

Senior Ruth Ann Blankenheim (Lighthouse Point, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) was selected to the All-Tournament Team.

In the first match of the tournament on Friday, September 15, Villanova was defeated by the host Ohio Bobcats 3-1, (12-15, 9-15, 15-12, 12-15).

The Wildcats will be back in action on September 20th at 7 PM at the University of Delaware.
