Scott Woodruff joined Playfly as General Manager of Villanova Sports Properties in June 2026. He brings more than 29 years of experience in the sports industry, including leadership roles with the Detroit Lions, Northwestern Athletics and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Throughout his career, Scott has focused on building strategic partnerships that create meaningful value for brands, fans and institutions.
A graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato and Washington State University, Scott is passionate about college athletics and the unique role sports can play in bringing communities together.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending time with his two children, Claire and Eric, traveling, fitness and chess. His favorite teams include the Las Vegas Raiders, Liverpool FC and, of course, Villanova's 24 varsity teams.
