Maya Brown

Maya Brown came to Villanova in November of 2022 and was promoted to Director of Athletic Operations & Events in June 2023. 

In her role, Brown oversees game day operations for the Wildcat softball program, manages the guest services program and introduced a new athletics credentialing system. 

During her first year at VU, Brown assisted in managing the 2023 BIG EAST Track and Field Championships and the First and Second Round of the 2022 NCAA Women's March Madness hosted at Villanova.

Brown arrived at Villanova by way of Arizona State University, where she functioned as the Event Coordinator and overseer of game day operations for ASU softball and women's soccer. 

Prior to her experience out west, Brown spent seven years as the Evening Building Supervisor at Princeton University, managing operations of Jadwin Gymnasium. While with the Tigers, Brown helped the university resume operations after the COVID-19 pandemic, assisted with game day operations for both of Princeton's basketball teams and was a member of the Black Student-Athlete and Staff Experience Task Force.

Previously, Brown served as the night building manager for the Rutgers-Newark Golden Dome Athletic Center as well as the building manager for the Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center at York College.

Brown received a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from York College of Pennsylvania with minors in hospitality marketing and recreation & leisure administration in December 2015.
