Brian Murray serves as the Associate Athletic Director for Business Operations at Villanova, a position he's held since 2009. Murray is in charge of the department’s financial affairs, manages the athletics budget and oversees the department travel office, as well as serving as sport administrator for volleyball and men's & women's tennis.
Murray began his Villanova career as an intern in both the ticket office and the equipment room from 1994-95. Following that stint, he worked as an intern in the marketing office from 1995-96.
His first full-time position came in 1996 when he was named Coordinator for Corporate Finance. From there, he was promoted to Associate Business Manager where he worked from 1997-00. In 2000, Murray became the department’s Business Manager. He held that position until June of 2005 when he was named the Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations.
A 1993 graduate of Villanova, Murray earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and a minor in Computer Science. He earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Villanova in 2002.
Murray and his wife, Michele, reside in Chadds Ford, Pa., with their daughters Annabelle, a 2023 Villanova graduate, and Colleen, set to graduate from Villanova in 2026.
