Biography
2020: McDonough appeared in five games of her senior season. She had a season-high four points in two games, vs. Saint Joseph's (3/4) and Temple (3/11). She finished the season with nine points off of five goals and four assists and won 10 draw controls.
2019:Â McDonough appeared in 15 contests during her junior year. At midfield she scored 15 goals, recording a season high three goals against Drexel (3/9) and Old Dominion (4/6). She also added seven assists on the season with two coming against Army (3/12) and two coming against Butler (4/20). Additionally, she picked up six ground balls and won seven draw controls. These seven draw controls rank her 9th all-time in career draw controls with 87 and 6th all-time in draw controls per game with a 1.89 average.
2018: As a sophomore, she started in all 16 contests for the Wildcats. McDonough scored nine goals and dished out two assists for 11 points. She was ranked second on the team with 61 draw controls and she also collected six ground balls and caused four turnovers. In the team's 20-4 win against Butler (4/18), she scored two goals.Â
2017: Appeared in 15 games as a freshman, scored 24 goals and recorded three assists for 27 points. She earned 19 draw controls, collected nine ground balls and caused six turnovers.Â
HOPEWELL VALLEY CENTRAL: Selected to the Trenton Times All Area Girls' Lacrosse Team as a senior… Four year letter winner under head coach Pam Edwards… Earned the Trentonian Newspaper’s Midfielder of the Year as a junior… Named to the All-Colonial Valley Conference First Team in 2015… Also participated in indoor track… Played with the T3 North Black Elite Lacrosse Club for three seasons… Earned the Fra Angelico Art Award in 2016… Received the President’s Education Award as a senior… Member of the National Honor Society and French National Honor Society… National winner of the Daughters of the American Revolution Art Contest Stamp Division from 2012 to 2016.
PERSONAL:Born June 11, 1998 in Princeton, New Jersey… Daughter of Mark and Mary Beth McDonough… Has two sisters – Carolyn (20) and Kristen (13)… Enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as a physics major… Enjoys the fine arts, sailing, coaching, and being with family… Chose Villanova, “Because of the faith background along with high academic and athletic standards that are held for student athletes. The students here are genuine, respectable, and hard-working, which creates a positive atmosphere that allows the students who attend to achieve great things.
