2018-19: Ritchie competed in nine events as a junior, primarily in the backstroke and freestyle. He swam in 200-backstroke (1:53.86) at the BIG EAST Championships where he recorded a season best. In the 100-back he recorded a time of 53.74 at the Brown Invite which was also a season best.

2017-18: Competed in 10 events during his sophomore year, including three events at the BIG EAST Championships. Throughout the season, Ritchie swam primarily in the backstroke and medley relay. At the BIG EAST Championships, he recorded new personal bests in the 100 and 200-meter backstroke. In the 100-back he recorded a time of 52.04 and in the 200 he swam to a 1:52.19 finish. 

2016-17: Swam in three events at the BIG EAST Championships…Competed in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 4:49.86, which was four seconds faster than his previous season-best time…Placed seventh in the “B” final and 15^thoverall in the 100-yard backstroke, clocking in at 53.11 (52.96 in prelims)…Took fifth place in the “B” final and 13^thoverall in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:52.65…Competed primarily in the freestyle and backstroke events.

Apex High School: Four-year varsity letter winner under coach Kevin Maksinchuk…Qualified for the state meet all four years…Served as a team captain….Swam in the 100 Back, 200 Back and 500 Back…Member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Steve and Christa Ritchie…Currently undecided on a major in the School of Business…Chose Villanova because he fell in love with the team, coaches and school spirit.
