2018-19: In his junior year, Cucchi continued his strong performance competing in 15 events. He swam a majority of his events in the backstroke, freestyle relays and IM. Cucchi was named to the All-BIG EAST Team for the third straight year for his performance in 200-IM, 400-IM, 200-back and 800-freestyle relay. In the 400-IM he recorded a personal best and new program record with his final time of 3:52.98. He broke his own previous record twice in once day, once in his prelim bout and again in his final. In the 200-back at the championships, the 100-back at the Brown Invite and in the 200-freestyle against Georgetown he also set new personal bests. He recorded a time of 1:44.52 in the 200-back and landed a second-place finish, in the 100-back he posted a new time of 49.44 and in the 200-freestyle he recorded a 1:42.54.
2017-18: Cucchi was name to the All-BIG EAST Team for the second year in a row for his performances in the 800-free, 200 and 400 IM and 200-back. He competed in 13 events during his sophomore year and broke four of his individual top times in the 100 and 200-yard backstroke and 200 and 400-yard IM. He recorded all four new records at the BIG EAST Championships. He clocked a 49.95 in the 100-back and a 1:46.58 in the 200-back. In the 200-IM he recorded a new time of 1:48.32 and in the 400 he clocked 3:55.54. Both his finishes in the individual medley events set new program records. Cucchi also recorded top times of the season in the 200-yard freestyle and 800-yard freestyle relay. His individual time in the 200 was recorded at 1:44.30 against Providence (1/13). His relay team clocked a 6:36.33 finish in the BIG EAST Championships which also set a new program record.
2016-17: Named to the All-BIG EAST Team for his performances in the 200-yard IM, 200-yard backstroke, and 800-yard freestyle relay at the BIG EAST Championships…Swam in three individual events at the BIG EAST Championships…Finished in fifth place in the 100-yard backstroke at the meet with a time of 50.10…Placed second in the 200-yard backstroke, touching the wall at 1:46.88 (had a time of 1:46.82 in the prelims of the event)…Took third place in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:50.47…Member of the 800-yard freestyle relay team that placed second and set a school record in a time of 6:39.40…Competed in the freestyle, backstroke, and IM events during the season.
Grady High School: Four-year letter winner under coach Beth Winkowski…Team captain for three years…Member of National Honor Society and is a Georgia Zell Miller Scholar.
