Villanova Career: Competed for Villanova from the 2017-21 and was a specialist in the butterfly and individual medley events … As a senior earned All-BIG EAST honors as part of the Wildcats lineups in three different relays (200 free, 200 medley, 400 medley) … During his career was a 13-time BIG EAST scorer, including 10 times in individual events to go along with the three relays his senior year … His top individual finishes at the BIG EAST Championships were sixth place showings in the 200 yard butterfly and the 200 yard individual medley as a senior … Four-time selection to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and eight-time member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
2020-21: Had a strong senior season and was an All-BIG EAST performer on three of the Villanova relays at the BIG EAST Championships … In addition to the relays came in sixth individually in both the 100 yard butterfly and the 200 yard individual medley while posting personal best marks in each event … Also scored in the 200 yard butterfly after reaching the consolation final at the BIG EAST meet … Swam the butterfly legs of both the 200 yard medley relay and the 400 yard medley relay which each came in third at the conference championships … Swam the second leg of the 200 yard freestyle relay which also recorded a third place finish … On the first full day of the meet finished sixth in the final of the 200 IM … Recorded a personal best time of 1:51.42 while ranking seventh in the preliminary heats, then moved up a spot to sixth in the final with a nearly identical time of 1:51.56 … Tallied another personal best time one night later when he came in sixth in the final of the 100 fly in 49.50 … He had been fifth after being clocked in 49.55 in the prelims … Finished 12th overall in the 200 fly … Ranked ninth in the preliminary heats in 1:52.24 and posted a time of 1:53.17 in the consolation final … Opened the season by finishing third in the 100 yard freestyle (50.57), fourth in the 200 fly (1:58.89) and sixth in the 200 IM (2:03.69) against Delaware … Anchored the 200 yard medley relay against the Blue Hens and had a split of 21.90 on the freestyle leg of the race as Villanova came in second with a time of 1:47.48 … Placed third in the 100 yard individual medley (53.39) and fifth in the 100 fly (53.38) against Drexel in addition to swimming the second leg of the 200 yard freestyle relay … Finished third in the 200 IM (1:57.99) and sixth in the 200 fly (1:57.99) while anchoring the 200 medley relay versus Seton Hall … Closed the regular season by coming in fifth in the 200 IM (2:01.94), sixth in the 200 fly (2:01.16) and anchoring the “B” lineup in the 400 yard freestyle relay against Loyola (Md.).
2019-20: Scored team points in the ‘B’ final of three individual events at the BIG EAST Championships … His best finish was 13th place in the 100 yard butterfly and he also came in 16th in both the 200 yard butterfly and the 200 yard individual medley … Recorded season-best times in the preliminary heats of all three events … Those marks were 49.88 in the 100 fly, 1:53.36 in the 200 fly and 1:53.33 in the 200 IM … During the season he also notched top times in the 100 yard breaststroke against Connecticut (1:01.90), the 200 yard breaststroke versus Penn (2:17.20) and the 50 yard freestyle at the WVU Invitational (22.43) … Took first in the 200 IM in a dual meet at Penn State with a time of 1:59.92 … Swam the butterfly leg of the 200 yard medley relay for teams which came in second against both Georgetown and Providence … Anchored the 200 yard freestyle relay team to a runner-up finish against La Salle.
2018-19: Competed in three individual events at the BIG EAST Championships and qualified for the ‘B’ final of the 100 yard butterfly … Placed 12th in the final with a time of 50.22 after recording season-best time of 50.06 and ranking 10th during the preliminary round … Came in 17th in the preliminaries of both the 200 yard butterfly (1:54.58) and the 200 yard individual medley (1:54.04) … His other top times for the season were 1:52.88 in the 200 fly, 1:54.25 in the 200 IM and 4:09.33 in the 400 yard individual medley at the Bruno Invitational, 49.00 in the 100 yard freestyle against Connecticut and 2:16.37 in the 200 yard breaststroke versus Penn … Finished second in the 100 fly against Penn State and was third in the 200 fly versus La Salle.
2017-18: Scored team points in all three of his individual events at the BIG EAST Championships and registered season-best times in each of his races … Top finish was an 11th place result in the final of the 100 yard butterfly, in which he touched the wall in 50.25 … Also came in 14th in the final of the 200 yard butterfly after recording a season-best time of 1:52.74 in the preliminary heats … Placed 15th in the final of the 200 yard individual medley with a season-best time of 1:53.74 … His other top marks during the year were 1:00.56 in the 100 yard breaststroke and 2:12.18 in the 200 yard breaststroke against Ursinus, as well as 4:20.41 in the 400 yard individual medley in against Rutgers … Was the runner-up in the 200 fly against Providence … Finished first in the 200 breast and the 200 fly versus Ursinus.
College Park High School: Earned four varsity letters in swimming … Qualifier for the California state meet as a junior … Four-time DVAL All-League performer, including earning second team honors his freshman through junior seasons and being an honorable mention pick as a senior … Winner of a National Merit Letter of Commendation his junior year and was presented with the Biliteracy Seal for the State of California award as a senior.
Personal: Born 6/12/99 in Berkeley, Calif. … One of three children of Eric and Diana Fetterman … Has two siblings, Matthew and Taylor … Enjoys Mexican food and likes to find unique places to dine in his spare time … Chose to attend Villanova for the combination of academic and athletic opportunities offered … Hopes to one day work in food production, processing and manufacturing … Chemical Engineering major with a minor in Engineering Entrepreneurship.
