Evan Anthony

Evan Anthony enters his second season as an assistant coach in the 2022-23 campaign. This season also marks his firstĀ as the Director of International Recruiting while also overseeing the development of a short stroke power and speed training program.

In his debut season on the staff in 2021-22, Villanova extended its winning streak to nine consecutive women's BIG EAST titles with the men finishing third. He was a part of a staff that was tabbed the Women's Coaching Staff of the Year, as well.

AnthonyĀ came to the Wildcats after most recently serving as a graduate assistant at Wingate for the past two seasons.Ā 

In his stint at Wingate which spanned the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons, Anthony primarily worked with the men's and women's sprint group and assisted in all other aspects of the program. Outside the water he helped to coordinate the strength training program and dry-land workouts for the sprinters. Anthony was part of a coaching staff that guided Wingate student-athletes to 137 All-American performances at the 2019 and 2020 NCAA Division II Championships.Ā 

Anthony has previously held multiple assistant coaching positions in the high school, club and summer swimming levels from 2017-20. He was also a swim camp counselor at Princeton in 2019. Anthony swam collegiately at Shippensburg and graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a minor in Coaching. He earned his Master's Degree in Sport Management from Wingate in 2021.
