Villanova Career: Five-time All-BIG EAST performer, three times in the 800 Free Relay and twice in 500 Free … Program record holder in the 500 Free (4:23.70), holding five of the top 10 times in the event … Second in program history for the 50 Back (22.84), third for the 1650 Free (15:29.57) and 1000 Free (9:19.33) and is fourth for the 200 Free (1:38.98) … Named to both the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and CSC Academic All-District Team twice.
 
2023-24: Set the program record for the 500 Free (4:23.70) at the BIG EAST Championships … All-BIG EAST Performer in two events to close out his career … Had season bests in the 100 Free (47.04), 200 Free (1:39.01), 1650 Free (15:40.61) and 100 Back (49.83); BIG EAST Championships (2/28-3/2): Earned bronze in the 500 Free with a program record time of 4:23.70, resetting his previous record he set in 2022 … Helped the 800 Free Relay team to a bronze medal, leading off with a 1:39.01 split; Penn State (2/2): Led a 1-2-3 sweep for the ‘Cats in the 1000 Free, winning in 9:33.41 … Posted a personal best 50 Free time of 22.03 as the lead-off in the 200 Free Relay; West Virginia (1/27): Won the 500 Free in 4:31.12 and was third in the 100 Back (50.70); Providence (1/13): Led two 1-2-3 Villanova sweeps in the 800 SC Free (8:36.69) and the 400 SC Free (4:09.16); WVU Invitational (11/16-18): finished fourth in the 1650 (15:50.68) … Made the A Final in the 500 Free with a prelim time of 4:31.20, finishing eighth (4:33.74); La Salle (11/4): Picked up individual wins in the 200 Free (1:40.71) and 500 Free (4:39.42) … Swam an opening leg split of 23.82 in the A team’s 200 Medley relay win; NJIT (11/3): Won the 200 Free (1:41.46) and 500 Free (4:37.11); Rider (11/1): Touched first in the 200 Free (1:41.22) and 500 Free (4:39.07); Georgetown (10/28): Opened the season with wins in the 1000 Free (9:41.27) and 500 Free (4:42.65).
 
2022-23: Became the program’s third-fastest performer in 1000 Free (9:19.33) in a head-to-head meet with Penn State; BIG EAST Championships (2/22-25): Logged a new personal best in the 1650 Free with the fourth-fastest time (15:29.57, fifth-place); West Virginia (1/28): Recorded second-place finishes in the 1000 Free (9:49.71) and 500 Free (4:38.95); Penn State (1/27): Won the 1000 Free (9:19.33) while anchoring the B team to a 200 Free Relay second-place finish (1:26.86) with a 21.45 split; Providence (1/14): Touched first in Villanova’s 1-2-3 sweep of the 1000 Free with a winning time of 9:53.36 … Swam the opening leg of the 200 Medley Relay (23.82) to help the A team to a victory (1:34.99); La Salle (11/22): Posted a second-place finish in the 500 Free (4:42.90) and hit the pool first for the 200 Medley Relay A Team that finished second (1:34.08); Penn (11/9): Won both the 1000 Free (9:35.43) and 200 Back (1:54.05); NJIT (11/5): Won the 500 Free (4:41.59) and was second in the 100 Back (51.81) … Swam opening backstroke (24.19) for the A team in the 200 Medley Relay that finished second (1:35.13); Georgetown (10/29): Was a part of two third-place relays … Opened the third-place A team in the 200 Medley Relay (1:35.07) with a 23.84 backstroke split … Was also the opening leg (48.47) for the B team in the 400 Free Relay (3:11.35).
 
2021-22: Earned All-BIG EAST Status in the 800 Free Relay and 500 Free; BIG EAST Championships (2/23-26): Reset the program-record with a silver-medal time of 4:24.80 in the 500 Free … Was the second leg of the 800 Free Relay team that recorded the fastest time in Villanova history with a silver-medal 6:35.22, swimming a 1:38.58 split  … Posted personal-bests in the 200 Free (1:38.98), 1000 Free (9:31.10, extracted) and 1650 Free (15:44.23) at the conference meet; Penn State (1/28): Finished as high as fourth with a 9:48.25 in the 1000 Free; West Virginia (1/22): Was second in the 500 Free, posting a time of 4:42.08 and swam the opening leg of the third-place 200 Medley Relay with a 23.92 split … Pittsburgh (1/20): Earned a second-place showing in the 1000 Free (9:52.54) while posting a 47.95 100 Free split on the 400 Free Relay team that finished third; Providence (1/15): Landed second in both the 400 Free (4:09.97) and 800 Free (8:39.41) and swam the third leg of the winning 400 Free Relay team with a 53.12 split; La Salle (11/23): Swam an opening-leg split of 24.02 for the 200 Medley Relay team that won against La Salle while also finishing second in the 500 Free (4:44.65) and 1000 Free (9:57.26); WVU Invitational (11/18-20): Turned in a PR in the 100 Free (relay) with a time of 47.51 as the opening-leg of the 400 Free Relay … Third leg of the 800 Free Relay team that finished third in 6:49.18 … Qualified for two A-final races, finishing sixth in the 200 Free (1:41.54) and seventh in the 500 Free (4:37.56) … Posted a sixth-place finish in the 1650 free with a time of 16:07.28; Penn (11/10): Had top-four swims, touching third in the 200 Free (1:44.32) and fourth in the 200 Back (1:55.34) and swam second for the winning 400 Free Relay team, posting a 48.10 split; NJIT (11/5): Was in the top-five of each of the three events he swam in … Finished second in the 500 Free (4:43.39) and fourth in the 100 Back (53.11) … Swam the opening leg of the 200 Free Relay, helping his unit to a third-place finish (1:28.25); Georgetown (10/30): Started the year with a personal-best time of 9:54.32 in the 1000 Free … Earned a third-place finish in the 500 Free (4:45.15).
 
2020-21: Had a successful collegiate debut season and earned All-BIG EAST honors as part of the Wildcats lineup in the 800 yard freestyle relay … Swam the third leg of the relay with a split of 1:40.93 and Villanova came in second in the race with a time of 6:41.08 … Scored individually in the 100 yard backstroke, the 200 yard backstroke and the 500 yard freestyle at the BIG EAST Championships … Reached the championship final of all three events and finished seventh in both backstroke races while coming in eighth in the 500 free … Posted personal best marks in all three individual events during the preliminaries at the conference meet … Those times were 50.47 in the 100 back, 1:49.31 in the 200 back and 4:35.06 in the 500 free … Made his collegiate debut in a home meet against Drexel in which he came in third in the 500 free (4:53.74) and fourth in the 100 back (54.16) … Also led off the 200 yard medley relay and swam the backstroke leg of the race for a team which finished third in 1:35.87 … Finished third in the 200 back (1:57.83), fourth in the 100 back (53.69) and led off the 200 medley relay which finished second in 1:35.41 against Seton Hall … Finished fourth in the 500 free (4:49.22) and fifth in the 100 back (53.34) while leading off the “B” lineup in the 400 yard medley relay at Loyola (Md).
 
Club Swimming: Competed for Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics for seven years.
 
Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School: Earned four varsity letters in swimming … Earned ACIS League All-Star honors as a freshman … Broke the league record in the 100 yard backstroke as well as school records in the 100 back, 100 yard freestyle, 100 yard butterfly and 200 yard individual medley … Also set school records as part of his team’s 200 and 400 yard freestyle relays as well as the 200 yard medley relay … Two-time team MVP as a sophomore and a junior.
 
Personal: Born 11/17/01 in New York, N.Y. … Younger of two children of Carter and Rim Hinckley … Has an older sibling, CJ (22), who is a member of the swimming & diving team at Penn and competes in the distance freestyle events … Plays the piano and enjoys watching tv shows as well as spending time with family and friends … Chose to attend Villanova because it was an amazing fit both academically in the Villanova School of Business and athletically with the dynamics of the swimming & diving program … Enrolled in the Villanova School of Business and is majoring in Business.
