Villanova Career: Competed for the Wildcats from 2017-21 and primarily swam the backstroke and individual medley events … Helped Villanova win four consecutive BIG EAST titles during her career … Was an eight-time individual BIG EAST scorer whose top finish was 10th place in the 100 back her junior year … Earned All-BIG EAST honors as part of the team’s lineup in the 200 free relay as a junior … Was a four-time selection to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and earned a spot on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in each of her eight collegiate semesters.
 
2020-21: Scored in all three of her individual events (100 back, 200 back, 200 IM) at the BIG EAST Championships to help the Wildcats win their fourth straight conference title … Swam in all four of the regular season dual meets leading up to the conference championships; BIG EAST Championships (4/7-4/10): Scored in the 100 and 200 back as well as the 200 IM at the BIG EAST meet … Her best finish was in the 200 IM where she placed 11th with a time of 2:06.81 and moved up four spots from the prelims when she was 15th overall in 2:08.21 … Came in 12th in the 200 back and 15th in the 100 back … Her times in the 200 back were 2:03.92 in the preliminary heats and 2:04.63 in the final … Posted marks of 58.33 in the prelims and 57.97 in the final of the 100 back; Delaware (2/13): Placed fourth in the 100 back (1:01.34), fifth in the 200 back (2:11.75) and eighth in the 200 IM (2:16.65) in the first meet of the season; Drexel (3/3): Tallied a runner-up finish in the 100 back with a time of 59.42 in a home meet against the Dragons … Swam the third leg of the 200 free relay for a team that won its race in 1:37.07; Seton Hall (3/7): Finished sixth in the 100 back in 1:00.88 and seventh in the 200 IM in 2:16.64 … Led off the 200 medley relay with a 50 back split of 28.68 for a relay squad that finished sixth with a time of 1:53.07; Loyola Md. (3/13): Came in fifth in the 100 back (1:03.29) and led off the “B” entry in the 400 medley relay with a 100 back split of 1:02.01 for a relay team that came in fourth in 4:02.51.
 
2019-20: Earned All-BIG EAST honors as part of the Wildcats lineup in the 200 yard freestyle relay at the conference championships … Swam the third leg of the race with a split of 23.56 and Villanova went on to post a runner-up finish with a time of 1:33.29 … Qualified for the ‘B’ final of both the 100 yard backstroke and the 200 yard backstroke at the BIG EAST meet … Came in 10th in the 100 back and 13th in the 200 back, as well as 1th in the preliminary heats of the 50 yard freestyle … Registered a season-best time of 2:03.35 in the preliminary heats of the 200 back … Her top time in the 100 back was 1:00.16 in a dual meet at Penn State earlier in the year …  Recorded a season-best time of 24.13 in the 50 free at the WVU Invitational, in addition to posting times of 2:07.28 in the 200 yard individual medley and 4:36.62 in the 400 yard individual medley at that meet … Swam in winning relay teams during dual meets against West Virginia (200 yard freestyle relay) and Georgetown (400 yard freestyle relay).
 
2018-19: Scored points in three individual events at the BIG EAST Championships … Her top finish was an 11th place result in the final of the 200 yard individual medley … Also came in 12th in the 400 yard individual medley and was 13th in the 200 yard backstroke … Recorded a season-best time of 2:05.27 in the 200 IM and moved up one spot from where she ranked during the preliminary heats … Also posted times of 4:30.87 in the preliminaries of the 400 IM and 2:04.25 in the prelims of the 200 back … Her best marks for the season were 56.76 in the 100 yard backstroke, 2:02.80 in the 200 back and 4:28.93 in the 400 IM at the Bruno Invitational, 53.79 in the 100 yard freestyle against Georgetown, 1:56.79 in the 200 yard freestyle and 1:00.40 in the 100 yard butterfly versus La Salle, and 1:11.41 in the 100 yard breaststroke against Richmond … Recorded a third place finish in the 100 fly against La Salle and was also third in the 400 IM against Richmond.
 
2017-18: Competed in three individual events at the BIG EAST Championships … Recorded season-best times of 2:07.67 in the 200 yard individual medley and 4:30.13 in the 400 yard individual medley … Also posted a time of 53.52 in the 100 yard freestyle … That nearly matched her season-best time of 53.46 in the 100 free which came in the Big Al Invitational at Princeton … Her other top marks for the year were 1:00.23 in the 100 yard backstroke against Ursinus and 1:55.44 in the 200 yard freestyle against Princeton … Swam the 200 free and posted a time of 1:57.17 against Penn in her collegiate debut … Won the 200 IM against Ursinus with a time of 2:11.75.
 
St. Agnes Academy: Earned four varsity letters in swimming … Six-time first team all-state performer, including three times in the 100 yard backstroke as a freshman, a sophomore and a senior … Her other all-state honors came in the 200 yard individual medley as a freshman and a senior, as well as in the 500 yard freestyle as a junior … Set school records in the 100 back, the 200 IM, the 200 yard freestyle relay and the 200 yard medley relay … Three-year team captain and was voted MVP as a senior … Inducted to the National Honor Society and the French Honor Society.
 
Personal: Born 12/15/98 in Houston, Texas … Youngest of three daughters of Andrius and Tamara Kontrimas … Has two older sisters, Alexandra and Kristina … Father was a college swimmer and also played water polo at California … Sister, Kristina, was also a college swimmer at Texas A&M and Ohio State … Enjoys drawing and photography in her spare time … Chose to attend Villanova for the energy and community that encompass the school … Electrical Engineering and Mathematics double major.
