2018-19: Klippel competed in 11 events again in his junior season, primarily in the freestyle, breaststroke and IM. He also competed in the 1650-freestyle and 200-breaststroke at the BIG EAST Championships where he clocked a new personal best in the 200. He recorded a time of 2:11.59 which bested his 200-breaststroke time he set at the 2018 championships. At the Brown Invite Klippel recorded season top times in the 200 (1:58.69) and 400-IM (4:10.69).

2017-18: Competed in 11 events during his sophomore year, including three events at the BIG EAST Championships. He recorded a new top time in the 200-breaststroke at the championships after recording a time of 2:14.39 as well as in the 200 IM with a time of 1:57.54. Klippel also recorded season top times in the 1000-freestyle and 400 IM events. In the 1000-free he recorded a time of 10:27.33 against Providence (1/13) and in the 400 IM he recorded a seed time of 4:09.68 at the BIG EAST Championships. 

2016-17: Swam in three individual events at the BIG EAST Championships…Competed in the 200-yard breaststroke at the meet, finishing with a time of 2:16.25…Participated in the 200 IM and 400 IM at the meet, clocking in with times of 1:58.13 and 4:10.42, respectively…Primarily swam in the breaststroke and IM events during the season.

Ridge High School: Four-year varsity letter winner under coach Melanie Dupuis…Named All-Conference in the 100 Breast…Swam in the 100 Breast, 200 Breast, 200 IM and 400 IM…Member of National Honor Society and Honor Roll.

Personal:Son of Jon and Margaret Klippel…Has an older brother, Brad…Majoring in Finance and Business Analytics…Chose Villanova because of the great academics and athletics.
