Versatile distance runner who has run the metric equivalent of a sub-four minute mile and ranks seventh in school history in the 5000 meters with a PR of 13:36.28 run during the 2025 outdoor season ... He became a part of the Wildcats sub-four mile club in April 2024 when he posted a time of 3:41.32 in the 1500 meters, then went under 3:40 (3:39.70) just over a year later ... Has contributed at the BIG EAST level in cross country and the distance events on the track ... Earned his first career individual All-BIG EAST honor in cross country with a 10th place finish at the conference championships in 2024 ... Two-time Mid-Atlantic All-Region performer in the Fall ... Seven-time BIG EAST scorer on the track whose best individual finish is fourth place in the 5000 meters (2025 indoor) ... Two-time All-BIG EAST performer in the relays, running the leadoff leg of the conference champion distance medley relay in 2023 and the third leg of the runner-up 4x800 meter relay outdoors in 2024 ... Three-time qualifier for the NCAA East Preliminary outdoors where he competed in the national first round heats of the 1500 meters (2023) and the national semifinal round of the 5000 meters (2024, 2025) ... Has recorded personal bests during his collegiate career at every distance from 800 meters through the 5K ... Has competed in the Villanova lineup in two NCAA Championships in cross country ... Club Sports: Member of the Ski Club in high school.
 
Hatboro-Horsham High School: Earned a total of eight varsity letters on the cross country and track & field teams during his scholastic career … Runner-up at the PIAA state championships in cross country his senior year … Two-time first team all-state performer and two-time all-district honoree … Earned a total of six first team all-league accolades … Set school records in the 1600 meters (4:05), the 3200 meters (8:53) an the 5000 meters (14:46) … Achieved Honor Roll status academically all four years … Inducted to the National Honor Society … Graduated in the top 20 percent of his class.
 
Personal: Born 9/27/02 in Pennsylvania … Youngest of three sons of John and Amy Comber … Has two older brothers, Casey (30) and Quinn (26) … Father played college tennis at Delaware and mother played badminton in college at Albright … Brother, Casey, ran for Villanova from 2015-21 and was a five-time All-American … Enjoys playing a variety of sports in his spare time, including basketball, baseball, soccer and tennis … Also enjoys skiing, hiking and traveling … Chose to attend Villanova because it was a great academic and athletic fit … Noted that the coaching staff and facilities at Villanova were both first class … Marketing and Business Administration major in the Villanova School of Business.
