Juliana Waclawski, MS, LAT, ATC, serves as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Villanova University, a position she has held since 2024. In this role, she provides comprehensive healthcare services for the Volleyball and Men’s and Women’s Tennis programs. She also oversees the inventory management and supply operations of the Jake Nevin Athletic Training Room, helping ensure the efficient delivery of sports medicine services.
Prior to joining Villanova, Juliana worked as an Athletic Trainer with UPMC Sports Medicine from 2021 to 2024. During her tenure, she served on the P3R Medical Committee, where she coordinated the organization and distribution of medical supplies for major endurance events, including the Pittsburgh Marathon, EQT 10 Miler/10K, and the Hillman Rush to Crush Cancer Cycling Ride. She also served as the site coordinator for the Pittsburgh Penguins Heads Up Program, providing free concussion baseline testing for adolescent athletes throughout the region.
Juliana has demonstrated a strong commitment to scholarly and professional development. In 2020, her original case study, “Overtraining Syndrome in a 21-Year-Old Male Collegiate Soccer Player,” was accepted for poster presentation at the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers’ Society Annual Meeting & Clinical Symposium. She later presented research on the “Prevention of Upper Extremity Injuries in Collegiate Baseball Pitchers” at the UPMC East Region Meeting in 2024.
Juliana earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from King’s College in 2021 and her Master of Science in Rehabilitation Science, with a concentration in Sports Medicine, from the University of Pittsburgh in 2023. While attending Pitt, she served as a teaching assistant within the Athletic Training Program, assisting the program director in the Basic Athletic Training Skills Laboratory.
Her professional interests include sports nutrition, mental health, injury prevention, and the holistic development of student-athletes.
