2018-19: Kabas swam in 12 events during his junior year, swimming primarily in the breaststroke, IM and freestyle. At the BIG EAST Championships, he competed in the 200-breaststroke, 200-IM and 400-IM. He posted season bests in both the 200-and 400-IM coming in at 1:52.08 and 3:59.82 respectively. His season best in the 200-breast was at the Brown Invite where he recorded a time of 2:05.14. Kabas swam to one personal best this season in the 200-freestyle (1:46.35) at UConn.

2017-18: In his sophomore year, Kabas competed in 11 events, swimming primarily in the freestyle, but also swam in the backstroke, butterfly, breaststroke and IM. In the 200-free he broke his previous top time with a new time of 1:47.17 at the Drexel Invite. Kabas also broke two more individual records at the BIG EAST Championships in the 200-breaststroke and 200-yard IM. In the 200-yard breaststroke he swam to a 2:04.58 finish and in the IM he clocked a time of 1:51.87. At the championships he competed in three events, the 200 and 400-yard IM and the 200-breaststroke. 

2016-17: Swam in three events at the BIG EAST Championships…Placed eighth in the “B” final of the 200-yard backstroke at the meet with a time of 1:56.05…Finished in sixth place in the “B” final of the 200-yard IM, touching the wall at 1:52.62…Took first place in the “B” final and ninth overall in the 400-yard IM at the meet with a time of 3:59.41, which was the top time on the team this year…Competed in the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and IM events during the season.

Christ Church Episcopal School: Four-year varsity letter winner under coach Ted Pierson…Team MVP, All-Region and All-State…Swam in the 400 IM, 200 Back, 100 Breast and 200 IM…Named to the Honor Roll during his senior year.

Personal:Son of Scott and Danette Kabas…Has a sister, Alexa…Economics major with a goal of becoming an Orthopedic Surgeon…Enjoys bowling, golf, Netflix and video games…Chose Villanova because of the superb academics and great athletics.
