Villanova Career: Five-time BIG EAST Champion and nine-time All-BIG EAST Performer … Won back-to-back BIG EAST titles in the 800 Free Relay … Became the program’s third-fastest 200 Free performer with a 1:46.82 opening-leg time in the 800 Free Relay at the 2024 BIG EAST Championships, marking the fourth-fastest time in program history.
2023-24: Won her first individual BIG EAST crown with a 200 Free victory and earned four more All-BIG EAST honors;
BIG EAST Championships (2/28-3/2): Made it to the top of the podium in five of the six events she competed in, winning the 200 Free and swimming with winning relays in the 800 Free and 200 Free while earning silver and bronze in the 500 Free and 400 Free Relay, respectively … Posted career-best times in the 100 Free (50.47) and 500 Free (4:49.22);
Penn State (2/3): Helped the 200 Free Relay B team to a third-place time of 1:39.61, posting an opening-leg split of 24.97;
West Virginia/Iowa State (1/27): Finished in the top-two in three of the four races she appeared in … Tied for first in the 200 Free (1:50.11) and won the 500 Free (4:57.18) … Swam a third-leg time of 51.72 to help the A team to a second-place 400 Free Relay finish (3:26.63);
Rutgers (1/20): Touched third in the 200 Free (1:54.74) and was the opening leg (53.19) for the B team’s second-place finish in the 400 Free Relay (3:37.74);
WVU Invitational (11/16-18): Went wire-to-wire as the top performer in the 200 Free with a winning time of 1:48.33 after a top qualifying time of 1:49.68 in the prelims;
Penn (11/8): Helped the A team to a 400 Free Relay win (3:33.67), touching in 52.77 as the third leg;
La Salle (11/4): Won the 200 Free (1:54.21) and was second in the 100 Free (53.05);
Georgetown (10/28): Posted a third-place finish in the 200 Free (1:54.41) and swam a 52.97 time as the second leg in the B team’s third-place showing in the 400 Free Relay (3:32.67);
UConn (10/21): Had a strong start to the season, winning each of her individual swims in the 200 Free (1:53.85) and 100 Free (52.76) and was the second leg (24.06) for the A team’s 200 Free Relay victory (1:36.36).
2022-23: Earned All-BIG EAST twice with a silver medal in the 200 Free (1:49.00) and bronze in the 500 Free (4:53.81), both with new personal best times … Posted a 51.45 time in the 100 Free at the WVU Invitational for a new personal best;
BIG EAST Championships (2/22-25): Along with two individual medals, she was a part of two winning relays … Swam lead-off (1:49.05) for the gold medal 800 Free Relay (7:21.83) and was the second leg for the 400 Free Relay gold medal (3:23.77);
West Virginia (1/28): Touched third in the 500 Free (5:13.78) … Swam anchor (25.14) for the B team in a third-place 200 Free Relay showing (1:42.30);
Penn State (1/27): Led Villanova with a third-place finish in the 1000 Free (10:38.21) … Third leg (25.13) for the B team’s second-place 200 Free Relay (1:41.06);

2020-21: Scored in three individual events at the BIG EAST Championships with her best finish being a seventh place result in the 200 fly … Also scored in the consolation final of both the 500 free and the 200 free … Competed at all four of the regular season meets;
BIG EAST Championships (4/7-4/10): Qualified for the championship final of the 200 fly and posted a time of 2:04.12 in the final after she ranked eighth in the preliminaries with a time of 2:06.55 … Reached the consolation final of both the 500 free and the 200 free … Came in 10
th in the 500 free with a time of 4:59.08 and finished 11
th in the 200 free with a time of 1:52.10;
Delaware (2/13): In her collegiate debut came in fourth in the 500 free (5:15.30) and fifth in the 200 fly (2:12.88) in addition to anchoring the “B” lineup in the 400 free relay to a third place finish in 3:37.79 … Had a split of 54.14 on the final leg of the race;
Drexel (3/3): Runner-up in the 100 fly with a time of 59.91 and swam in the “B” lineups of both the 200 medley relay and the 200 free relay … Led off the 200 free relay with a 50 free split of 25.06 … Swam the butterfly leg of the 200 medley relay which finished second with a time of 1:50.42;
Seton Hall (3/7): Recorded a victory in the 200 free with a winning time of 1:57.95 and came in fourth in the 500 free in 5:18.24 … Swam the butterfly leg of the 200 medley relay on the Wildcats “C” team in the relay … Led off for the “B” lineup in the 400 free relay and had a 100 free split of 55.21 for her leg of the race;
Loyola Md. (3/13): Came in third in the 200 fly (2:11.58) and fifth in the 100 fly (1:00.40) … Swam the butterfly leg of the 400 medley relay with a split of 59.85 … Led off the “B” entry in the 400 free relay with a 100 free split of 54.64.
Club Swimming: Swam for the Rockville Montgomery Swim Club and recorded a national cut time in the 200 yard butterfly.
Walter Johnson High School: Four-year member of the varsity swimming team … As a senior was an All-American as part of her school’s 200 yard freestyle relay and 400 yard freestyle relay teams … Both relays set school records … Four-time

Personal: Born 7/25/02 in Washington, D.C. … Youngest of three children and the only daughter of Ted and Lauren Benson … Has two older brothers, Joseph (26) and Tommy (24) … Enjoys playing lacrosse, watching tv and movies, reading and spending time with family and friends … Chose to attend Villanova because the atmosphere on campus and the team culture in the swimming & diving program made it the perfect fit for her … Has yet to declare a major.
