CAREER COLLEGIATE RESULTS

Came to Villanova as a graduate transfer from Merrimack for the 2021-22 academic year … Competed during the indoor and outdoor seasons in the jumps and was an All-BIG EAST performer in the triple jump indoors … At the end of the 2022 season was ranked 10th on the Wildcats all-time indoor performance list in the triple jump with a mark of 14.01 meters … Set a lifetime best mark of 14.17 meters in the triple jump outdoors … Two-time BIG EAST scorer spanning the indoor and outdoor campaigns … Named to the 2021-22 BIG EAST All-Academic Team and earned a spot on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Spring 2022 semester.

INDOOR

2022 (Villanova): For the first time ever either indoors or outdoors Villanova had two athletes on the awards podium in the triple jump at the indoor BIG EAST Championships as Omuemu (bronze medal) joined teammate and conference champion Malik Cunningham as a top-three finisher and All-BIG EAST performer … Competed three times in the triple jump and once in the long jump during the indoor season; Penn 10-Team Select (1/15): Tallied a fourth place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 13.46 meters at the first competition of the year; Columbia Challenge (2/4): Posted an 11th place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 13.85 meters; Rutgers Open (2/11): Finished 10th in the college section of the long jump with a measurement of 6.40 meters; BIG EAST Championships (2/26): Competed in the triple jump and earned All-BIG EAST honors with a third place finish … His jump of 14.01 meters is an indoor personal best and also put him into 10th place on the Wildcats all-time indoor performance list.

2019-20 (Merrimack): Competed at eight meets during the season … Appeared at the Northeast Championships as an entry in the long jump and the triple jump; Emmanuel College Invitational (12/7): Finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 6.35 meters in his first meet of the season; Joe Donahue Classic (12/14): Recorded a time of 7.34 in the preliminary heats of the 60 meters at Northeastern … Registered a sixth place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 13.43 meters and also measured a distance of 6.07 meters in the long jump; Reggie Poyau Memorial Invitational (1/11): Runner-up in both the long jump (6.40m) and the triple jump (13.05m) in a meet at Brandeis; Bowdoin Invitational II (1/18): Ran in the preliminary heats of the 60 meters and had a time of 7.37 … Finished third in the triple jump (12.97m) and fifth in the long jump (6.33m); USM Open II (1/25): Advanced to the final of the 55 meters at Southern Maine … Was sixth overall in the heats with a time of 6.83 before finishing seventh in the final in 6.86; New England Championships (2/1): Recorded an eighth place finish in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 13.70 meters; Dartmouth, Massachusetts, Williams and Vermont (2/8): Competed in a quadrangular meet at Dartmouth and finished seventh in the long jump with a mark of 6.21 meters; Northeast Championships (2/21-2/22): Recorded mark of 6.41 meters in the long jump and 12.69 meters in the triple jump at the conference championships.
 
2018-19 (Merrimack): Raced twice in the 60 meters while competing three times each in the long jump and the triple jump … Appeared at four meets overall; Howlin Husky Invitational (12/8): Opened the season at Northeastern and finished seventh in the long jump with a mark of 6.23 meters; Reggie Poyau Invitational (1/12): Placed eighth in the preliminary heats of the 60 meters with a time of 7.43 and also came in third in the triple jump with a measured distance of 12.64 meters; Bowdoin Invitational II (1/19): Registered a time of 7.42 in the preliminaries of the 60 meters, finished fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 12.85 meters and was eighth in the long jump with a distance of 6.25 meters; NE10 Championships (2/16-2/17): Came in eighth in the long jump and ninth in the triple jump at the conference championships … His marks of 6.51 meters and 13.31 meters, respectively, were both season bests.
 
2017-18 (Merrimack): Competed at seven meets during his first collegiate season, including at the NE10 Championships in both the long jump and the triple jump … Also raced in the 60 meters and the 200 meters during the year; UMass Boston Indoor Open (12/2): Made his collegiate debut in the season opener and posted a time of 25.30 in the 200 meters while recording a mark of 6.04 meters in the long jump; Ric Holiday Classic (12/9): Tallied a time of 7.57 in the preliminary heats of the 60 meters and came in fourth in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 12.82 meters in a meet at Rhode Island College; Reggie Poyau Memorial Invitational (1/13): Came in 10th in the preliminary heats of the 55 meters with a time of 6.89 and finished third in the long jump with a distance of 6.29 meters at Brandeis; Bowdoin Invitational II (1/20): Recorded a time of 7.47 in the preliminaries of the 60 meters and notched a mark of 12.15 meters in the triple jump; USM Men’s Open III (1/27): Advanced to the final of the 55 meters in a meet at Southern Maine … Ranked fourth overall in the preliminary heats with a time of 6.88 and placed fifth in the final in 6.96 … Also was the runner-up at the meet in both the long jump (6.34m) and the triple jump (12.17m); URI Coaches Tribute Invitational (2/9): Placed 11th in the long jump with a measurement of 6.11 meters; NE10 Championships (2/17-2/18): Recorded a season-best mark of 6.35 meters in the long jump on the first day of the conference meet … Had a mark of 12.72 meters in the triple jump on the final day of the championships.

2022 (Villanova): BIG EAST scorer in the triple jump and registered a lifetime best mark in the event at the conference championships … Competed twice in the triple jump and once in the long jump during the season; Philadelphia Big 5 Meet (4/2): Tallied a first place finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.23 meters in his first outdoor competition of the year; Larry Ellis Invitational (4/16): Came in seventh in the triple jump with a measurement of 13.62 meters at Princeton; BIG EAST Championships (5/14): Recorded a lifetime best triple jump of 14.17 meters to finish in fourth place at the conference meet … Jumped five centimeters further than his previous top mark from the 2021 outdoor campaign.

2021 (Merrimack): Appeared at five meets during the season and was a competitor in both the long jump and the triple jump at the NEC Championships; Bryant, LIU (3/13): In a triangular meet at Bryant to begin the season was the runner-up in the 100 meters in 11.46 and anchored the 4x100 meter relay squad to a first place finish and a winning time of 44.49 … Added a third place finish in the triple jump with a measured distance of 12.86 meters; Holy Cross, Massachusetts (3/26): Anchored the 4x100 meter relay squad to a third place finish with a time of 44.66 … Came in sixth in the long jump with a mark of 6.22 meters in a triangular meet at UMass; Merrimack Invitational (4/10): Individual winner in the triple jump with a mark of 13.70 meters … Established a season-best mark of 6.60 meters in the long jump to finish as the runner-up in the event … Came in fifth in the 100 meters with a time of 11.41; Merrimack Track & Field Carnival (4/23): Runner-up in the 100 meters with a season-best time of 11.24 and won the triple jump with a season-best mark of 14.12 meters … Came in seventh in the long jump with a mark of 6.56 meters; Northeast Championships (5/1-5/2): Came in 12th in the long jump (6.47m) and 11th in the triple jump (12.46m).
 
2019 (Merrimack): Competed at six meets on the year; Black and Gold Invitational (3/30): Recorded a distance of 5.98 meters in the long jump in his first outdoor competition of the year; SNHU Spring Invitational (4/6): Advanced to the final of the 100 meters in a meet at Southern New Hampshire … Ranked fifth in the preliminary heats with a time of 11.70 before finishing sixth in the final in 11.92 … Also was the runner-up in the triple jump with a mark of 12.38 meters; Coach P Invitational (4/13): Registered a time of 11.68 in the 100 meters to go along with marks of 6.33 meters in the long jump and 12.95 meters in the triple jump; Assumption (4/18): In a home dual meet came fifth in the 100 meters in 11.84 and led off the 4x100 meter relay for a team which came in third with a time of 44.33 … Was the runner-up in both the long jump (6.24m) and the triple jump (13.04m) at the meet, with his distance in the triple jump a season-best mark; Skyhawk Invitational (4/27): Threw the javelin for a distance of 40.02 meters while competing in the event for the only time during the year; NE10 Championships (5/3-5/4): Recorded a mark of 6.02 meters in the long jump on the first day of the conference meet and had a distance of 12.99 meters in the triple jump on the second day of the championships.
 
2018 (Merrimack): Saw action at six meets during the season and competed in the triple jump at the NE10 Championships; Black and Gold Invitational (3/31): Recorded a time of 12.04 in the 100 meters and came in ninth in the long jump with a mark of 6.14 meters at Bryant; AIC Invitational (4/7): Had a busy day in which he competed in the 100 meters, the long jump, the triple jump and the javelin … His best finish was a fourth place showing in the long jump with a mark of 6.20 meters … Placed fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 12.35 meters, had a time of 12.10 in the 100 meters and threw the javelin for a distance of 37.00 meters; Coach P Invitational (4/14): Ran the third leg of the 4x100 meter relay for a team which posted a time of 44.04 … Competed in both the long jump and the triple jump with marks of 6.24 meters and 11.91 meters, respectively; Merrimack Invitational (4/21): Runner-up in both the long jump (6.45m) and the triple jump (12.85m) while posting season-best marks in both events at a Merrimack home meet; Skyhawk Invitational (4/28): Finished eighth in the long jump (6.24m) and threw the javelin for 41.89 meters at Stonehill; NE10 Championships (5/5): Came in 11th in the triple jump with a measurement of 12.83 meters at the conference meet.

Personal: Born 5/27/99 in Benin City, Nigeria … Oldest of four children of Julius and Doris Omuemu … Has three younger siblings: Ehrun, Edosa and Efeosa … Enjoys playing golf and gaming in his spare time … Graduated from Merrimack College and enrolled in graduate school at Villanova where he pursued a Master’s in Accounting with a concentration in Data Analytics … Chose to further this education at Villanova for the combination of its athletic and academic reputations … Felt he would grow and become a better athlete while having the chance to study at an institution ranked in the top five nationally in MSA programs and which offered a unique Data Analytics and Accounting program.
