NEW YORK – Villanova landed its first BIG EAST weekly accolades of the season as
Hannah Curtin and
Hannah Dickinson were named to the Weekly Honor Roll Monday afternoon.
The duo played a key role in Villanova's 2-0 week as the Wildcats picked up shutout wins against George Mason, 2-0, and Bucknell, 1-0. This is Curtin's first BIG EAST nod and Dickinson's fifth, landing four last year in her debut season with the 'Cats.
Curtin started in both wins this past week, logging a goal in her six shot attempts, four of those on frame. She had the game-winning goal at Bucknell on Sunday in the 48
th minute, marking her second goal in three games. The graduate striker leads the team with two goals on the year and is second with four points.
Dickinson picked up shutouts two and three between the posts this week, playing in all 180 minutes of action with four saves. The senior netminder anchored the Villanova defense that held its opponents to 12 shots allowed. The three consecutive shutout wins mark back-to-back seasons the Wildcats have pieced together such a run.
The Hannahs and the rest of the Wildcats are back in action Sunday when they host Lehigh at 4 p.m. inside Higgins Soccer Complex.
