PHILADELPHIA – Two Villanova boats posted third-place finishes for an overall at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on Saturday. All-told, Villanova saw eight of its nine boats notch top-20 finishes with four of those being in the top-5 of their respective races.

Sarah Robillard and
Natalia Peng combined twice on the day for those top-three finishes. The Wildcats were in the Wildcat Championship Fours shell that crossed in 13:53.013 early in the day before joining
Sylvia Marks,
Bailey Bryan,
Ella Cooper and
Ava DeJong in the final Championship Eights race of the day where they finished in 12:45.156. Both times put them 20 seconds out of winning times and came in Championship Fours and Eights fields that had 56 and 27 entries, respectively.
The medals mark the first for the Wildcats at the regatta since a silver medal in the Championship Fours back in 2023.

Four years ago, we set out to build a strong foundation for this program and the three recruits and two walk-ons that stayed with and bought into the vision were able to realize it today. Addison Ismael started the day with a strong fourth-place time of 15:06.006. They finished a minute out of first and just two seconds back of a top-three finish.
Two Wildcat boats finished in the top five of the Championship Fours field. Nearly 30 seconds behind the third-place 'Cats in fifth was the shell with
Abby Shang, Marks, Bryan, Cooper and DeJong, finishing with a time of 14:21.566.

Alyssa Santa went 16:08.579 to finish 11
th.

Villanova is back in action next weekend as it heads to New Jersey for the Princeton Invitational on Nov. 2.
