VILLANOVA, Pa. – This weekend brings a busy one for the Villanova Swimming and Diving team as the team embarks on a stretch of three meets in three days. The team hits the road to Penn State Friday and West Virginia Saturday before coming back home on Sunday for its annual Sprintfest with La Salle.
The men's team (2-3) will look to build on its winning ways over the weekend after nearly a two-week layoff since defeating Providence on Jan. 14, 119-80. As for the women (2-4), this marks their third consecutive week of competition with the last result being a 181-110 loss at Rutgers on Jan. 21.
Villanova has gone to battle with all three of this week's opponents consistently over the last decade or more. This will be the second time this season that the Wildcats are traveling to Morgantown, W. Va. after competing in the WVU Invitational back in November. The women finished fourth that week while the men finished sixth.
Friday's meet at Penn State is set to start at 4 p.m. at the McCoy Natatorium in University Park, Pa. while Saturday's meet at WVU has a noon start. Live results for both meets can be found on MeetMobile.
Sunday's Sprintfest will also serve as Senior Day for the Wildcats. The meet starts at 11 a.m. after honoring the Class of 2023 at 10:45 a.m. Eleven seniors will be honored that day including
